THE 3 DAYS ITINERARY
Day 1 – Arrival in Keflavik, Iceland, Blue Lagoon, Hotel Bru

You arrive in Iceland at the Keflavik International Airport and outside of the airport you pick up your rental car from Thrifty. Since you will be tired from your long hours of flight, this day is about relaxing and enjoying the beauty of Iceland – starting in Blue Lagoon. This place is just 15 minutes drive away from the airport so no worries about the long drive. In the Blue Lagoon, we would recommend you try the water massage treatment and beauty treatments that will leave you feeling energized and serene. Afterwards, you can drive to the Hotel Bru for an overnight stay, which is just a one hour and thirty minutes drive from Blue Lagoon. You will drive through Reykjavik.

Drive to the Hotel Brú for an overnight stay as well as to try their delicious and mouth-watering food. You can get something to eat in the hotel restaurant that is known for offering genuine Icelandic cuisine such as lobster soup and Trout. Afterwards, you can just walk around Hotel Brú and appreciate its surroundings before going to sleep. But it sometimes doesn’t end there because you will be able to view the Northern Lights—one of the best tourist attractions of Iceland. And you don’t have to worry about missing it because the hotel offers a wake up call if the lights show up in the middle of the night. Below is the map for Day 1 for your reference.
Day 2 – Touring Snæfellsnes
Today, we go tour the town and municipal of Stykkisholmur in the north of Snæfellsnes peninsula and is a two-hour drive from Reykjavík. It is quite an interesting place as it is the center of services and commerce in the area, with fishing and tourism as their way of income. And since that is the case, you can find a great fish restaurant to taste their unique and delicious menus. You can go for Fimm Fiskar, one of the delicious and known fish restaurants in the city, as it serves Icelandic catfish, puffin, guillemot, seafoods and homemade pasta dishes.

Once done, you can then proceed to drive the circle around Snæfellsnes and stop at 2-3 places/attractions that you can tour and have photo opportunities with. We would suggest visiting the Snæfellsjökull National Park at the end of the peninsula so you can have a scenic view of the ice covered volcanic crater. You can also visit a small fishing village called the Arnarstapi, which is a known natural site for landings and harbor of small vessels and an ideal shipping port. Here, you will find various commercial centers and tourist establishments that you can tour and have photo opportunities. Once you are satisfied with touring Snæfellsnes, you can drive back to Hotel Brú to relax more and even catch another glimpse of the Northern Lights.
