The Icelanders love to challenge themselves during winter and what better way to do it than to hop in their Super Jeep and drive to Landmannalaugar. Join in and experience the thrill of the constant challenges as we journey along the highlands during winter time. The adventure awaits, as well as the new experiences. If you think winter and the unpredictable highlands will stop us from seeing all the natural beauties and the dance of the Northern Lights in the sky, then think again because all the challenging obstacles is just what our expert Super Jeep drivers way in testing their driving skills as well as their resourcefulness.
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Reykjavik and we will leave the busy city behind. We will have three days of pure adventure, a totally new dimension winter travel. The fully equipped Super Jeep with huge tires will be our carriage through our conveyance in the winter wonderland. The journey going to the highlands is a great adventure, and when we arrive at our destination in the valley of Thjorsardalur, nature will welcome us by its stunning beauty beginning with the proud volcano Hekla. The highlands have so much to offer from waterfalls to its lakes and their surrounding mountains, the strange lava formations and the visible view of the dancing Northern lights show during evening. From Fjallabak Nature Reserve to Landmannalaugar, your eyes will be filled with such grandeur and your desire for adventure is fulfilled. At the end of the day we will drive you to an inviting warm lodge and let you rest for the night comfortably.
On day two, we will begin the day with a bath at Torfajokull area; this is where the Iceland’s second largest high temperature geothermal pool can be found. When our senses are up we will have our breakfast and plan what we will do for the rest of the day. The rough itinerary may include snowmobile tour, hike to the most interesting places in the area, Super Jeep tour, or another relaxing bath in the hot pool outside just to enjoy the serenity.
We will leave Landmannalaugar on the third day and drive to the dam at Hrauneyjar. After lunch we will take the famous Golden Circle route. This will include visits to the Gullfoss, Geysir, and Thingvellir.

PLEASE BRING WITH YOU:
warm clothes, sturdy shoes or hiking boots and swimsuit
transportation, hotel pick up, guided tour, accommodation in sleeping bags in a mountain lodge with shared facilities for two nights, sleeping bags, breakfast x2, dinner x2, lunch x1 and snow scooter driving (when conditions allow). Overalls for the snowmobile ride are supplied by us.
Warm layers of clothes, such as wind and rainproof outer shells, warm wool socks, hats and gloves, thermal or wool middle layer and inner layer. Sturdy and waterproof hiking boots are a must and it is good to have slippers for the lodge. Travel pillows, ear plugs and pajamas are also good things to bring along. Don’t forget your bathing suit and a towel.
