South coast tour with an overnight stay in a bubble

Limited availability. Only 6 bubbles.

A snapshot of your overnight experience:

Our local guide will collect you at 11:30 (AM) from a location of your choice in Reykjavik. After exploring the treasures of the South Coast and spending an unforgettable night in one of our private Bubbles, you will be collected again at your Bubble at 8:30 (AM) the next morning, arriving back in Reykjavik around 10:30 (AM). This gives you plenty of time to catch some brunch and enjoy the world’s northernmost capital city. All timing is subject to change on this tour, and due to our small group size, each experience will be different.

SELJALANDSFOSS

Walk behind a waterfall at this 45 minute stop nearly 2 hours outside of Reykjavik.

SKOGAFOSS

Climb to the top of this famous cascade in another 45 minute stop.

REYNISFJARA BLACK SAND BEACH

Enjoy a 45 minute stop at one of Iceland’s most notable treasures, the black sand beaches of Vik.

SLEEP TIGHT IN A BUBBLE

Your final stop will be at our quiet Bubble grove. Enjoy your night here, and we will be back to collect you in the morning.

STOP 1: SELJALANDSFOSS WATERFALL

Seljalandsfoss is the first stop on our tour. Nearly 65 meters high, this waterfall is home to countless birds and incredible vistas of roaring glacial waters and rainbows in the mist.

If you’re feeling brave, you can walk the rocky staircase to view the falls from behind! Looking out from the cave behind the waterfall is an amazing photo opportunity and a memorable experience.

If you plan on making the trek behind the falls, make sure to bring a raincoat! The waterfall gives off a surprising amount of mist, and can dampen even the hardiest of clothes. (Makes for great rainbow pictures, though!)

STOP 2 : SKOGAFOSS WATERFALL

Just 30 kilometers down from Seljalandsfoss, is the mighty Skogafoss. You can see both of these goliaths from the main Ring Road, so you won’t miss it.

Skogafoss is an impressive 60 meters high and 25 meters wide, and you can choose to climb that 60 meters to the top to see the view or walk up close and personal to feel the thunder in the mists.

If you choose to approach from the ground, make sure to protect yourself and any electronics from water damage. Like its cousin Seljalandsfoss, there’s a lot of mist to contend with here!

STOP 3: REYNISFJARA BLACK SAND BEACH

After the thunder of the waterfalls, we find ourselves further down the coast at the crashing shore of the Reynisfjara black sand beaches. Located in the village Vik, this area is famous for its black sand, puffin cliff colonies, and massive basalt stacks. A photographer’s dream!

Regularly voted one of the top

non-tropical beaches to visit on Earth, Reynisfjara is a wonder to behold.

At this stop you’ll be able to walk the black sands, and view the rocky basalt sea stacks (Reynisdrangar) jutting up from the waves. Depending on the conditions of the surf, you can venture around the corner

into a basalt column cave. (If it isn’t filled with water!)

While visiting, we will practice caution around the water due to the strong current here, and “sneaker waves”, waves that can rush in quickly and knock people to the ground. This is one beach we won’t be swimming at!

STOP 4: SWEET BUBBLE DREAMS

We end the day at your very own Bubble, for an overnight rest in an Icelandic forest. All of our Bubbles are transparent, so keep your eyes peeled for a show! If the northern lights come out to dance, you have the best seat in the house.

All of our Bubbles are exactly the same, and are hidden away in their own enclaves in the forest. We’ll show you to yours, and leave you to enjoy the deep peace of the woods, the vastness of the sky, and the closeness of pure Icelandic nature.

All bubbles are located a short walking distance from our service house, which contains WC and showers.

And when you’ve awakened, we’ll be waiting to take you back.
